“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom.”—Colossians 3:16
We are finishing up our adult Sunday school quarter today (June 26). I’m very thankful for Thomas Purifoy, Greg Wilbur, and Tom Miller leading our adult Sunday school ministry this spring. Thank you, brothers, for your dedication in study and preparation week after week. What a blessing you are to our church!
The next two Sundays—July 3rd and 10th—we will meet together collectively in the sanctuary for adult Sunday school. Our plan with these two weeks is to give brief updates on where we are as a church plant, and to further explore distinctions of our local fellowship. If you’re a recent visitor of Cornerstone and you’d like to know more about our church, let me encourage you to attend. These two meeting will help introduce you to our history, our church, and our vision. Following these two weeks, we will take three weeks for our normal summer Sunday school break before starting back up in August. Big days ahead, lots to look forward to.
On a different front, we’re pleased to announce that we’re only days away from launching our new Cornerstone Pres. website. Thanks to our very own Ryan Myers, this new site will be beautiful, user-friendly, and full of important contact points. We hope to assist curious web visitors with basic information about our church, and prepare first time visitors with a sense of what to expect even before attending worship. At the same time, we want our website to be a one-stop-shop for members desiring to stay up to date on the latest happenings at Cornerstone. Programming is being tweaked, and content is still being adapted, but it won’t be long before we’re up and running. I can hardly wait.
While we’re talking media and web, some of you may not be aware that Cornerstone has taken the plunge and entered the social networking world. A few months ago we started both a facebook page and a twitter account to establish lines of connectedness congregationally on the web during the week. Though we’re far from using either of these tools to there full potential, we are beginning to make some good strides. If you desire to be “in the know” on all Cornerstone going-ons, let me encourage the facebook users out there to “friend” the Cornerstone Pres. page today, so you’ll be ready to receive regular updates. And for you twitter users, you can follow us @CStonePres. We look forward to seeing you on the web!
